Jade and Joedeci, a Spring Wedding in Central Hawke's Bay
his spring, I had the joy of capturing a beautifully unique wedding at Backpaddock Lakes in Central Hawke's Bay. From the moment I arrived, the day was alive with warmth, laughter, and vibrant traditions. The morning began with the presentation by family, of a stunning Korowai, a traditional Māori cloak woven with feathers, setting a meaningful tone for the celebration. The couple exchanged vows by the lake, with its scenic water views providing a breathtaking backdrop that added an extra touch of romance to their ceremony. Later, we explored Backpaddock’s private wetlands, where I captured intimate moments among the lush greenery and peaceful waters. Every part of the day was a true celebration of love, nature, and family.
