Sunrise Couple Session at Pourerere Beach
Sometimes I have to pinch myself! Emma & Michael completely trusted my fun idea of a sunrise session with my new lanterns at Pourerere Beach in Central Hawke’s Bay, and we couldn’t have asked for a more magical morning. The beach was quiet, the waves made the perfect soundtrack, and the sky just grew pinker by the minute. The lanterns glowed so softly in the early light while we waited for the sun, and watching these two settle in and enjoy the calm together was just beautiful. I’m so lucky to meet such amazing people, and mornings like this are exactly why I love what I do.
Why I Love Sunrise Sessions
There’s something so special about a sunrise session. The light is soft and gentle, the beach is usually all yours, and everything feels calm and unhurried. It’s the perfect setting for relaxed, natural photos that feel like a memory in motion. And you don’t need to know how to pose! I’ll guide you the whole way with music, movement and little prompts, so it never feels awkward. The best photos always come from the in-between moments: the laughs, the cuddles and the quiet moments when you forget the camera is even there.
